Office Moving Tips 101
Moving offices can feel like a complicated process if you do not follow these basic office moving tips that will make the physical aspect of your office move plain sailing and easier for you to get set up quickly in the new office.
- Label EVERYTHING - you'll be surprised how easy it is to misplace a simple power lead but if it's labelled correctly it will lessen the stress when you get to the new office.
- Label according to new destination - you may wish to label according to office cubicle, or if you're going open plan, by team or zone.
- Place a copy of the new floor plan in prominent places in your new office so your employees can locate their new workstation quickly on the first day.
- Remove the ink cartridge from your copier as it may leak in transit.
- Disconnect all computer equipment and keep the power lead with its respective computer so nothing gets misplaced.
- Ask employees to pack their desk items into a crate and ask them to take all their valuable items home with them for safekeeping.
- Set up a Lost Property area in the new and old office.
